Helping professions and mental health, threats to mental health, sustainability of mental health and fitness, burnout syndrome, its causes, manifestations, consequences, prevention and treatment options for burnout syndrome - introduction to the topic - 4 hours of hybrid education 2. Strategic relationship work with the client, setting boundaries, coping with the demands of challenging communication, follow-up psychohygiene - 4 hours of hybrid education 3. Multidisciplinary collaboration as a specific tool for achieving social work goals and as a tool for the sustainability of the helping professional's mental health - 2 hours of hybrid education 4. Lifelong learning of the helping professional, curriculum, sustainability of motivation and learning effects - 2 hours of hybrid education 5. Body care, relaxation, sustainability of physical health - 2 hours of hybrid education 6. Mindfulness (mindfulness/watchful attention) as a tool for sustainable mental health in a challenging profession. Mindfulness training demonstration - 2 hours of hybrid education 7. Body Care, Relaxation, Sustainable Physical Health - 2 hours of full-time education 8. Mindfulness (mindfulness/mindfulness) as a tool for sustainable mental health in a challenging profession. Demonstration of mindfulness training - 2 hours of full-time education 9. Learning outcomes
|
The course is aimed at strengthening the competence of social workers and social service workers and other professionals involved in social work to maintain and develop their mental health and psychological resilience. Its main objective is therefore to expand the skills (upskilling) of helping professionals in the exercise of their profession. The course introduces psychohygiene as a tool for the prevention of burnout syndrome, which aims to develop and promote mental health. It is a set of information and specific practices aimed at reducing the impact of negative influences (stressors) on a person, and conversely increasing the impact of strengthening influences (salutors) on his/her mental fitness and balance. Social workers and social service workers are often exposed to significant stresses and risks in their profession due to the fact that the main tool of social work is the helping worker and the relationship between the client and the helping worker. Psychohygiene includes the care of the body, the psyche and relationships.
After successfully completing the course, the graduate: 1. understands the concepts of helping professions, mental health, burnout syndrome 2. knows and can recognize the main threats to mental health, causes, manifestations and consequences of burnout syndrome, possibilities of prevention and treatment of burnout syndrome 3. be able to detect sensitive boundary setting points when working strategically with the client relationship 4. knows the risks of the helping profession to their mental health and works consciously with them 5. can explain the need for and benefits of multidisciplinary collaboration as one of the helping professional's mental health sustainability tools 6. understands the need for lifelong learning for helping professionals, can develop their own learning plan, and can detect their learning needs 7. knows basic relaxation practices and can apply them practically in order to enhance their mental health 8. knows basic supervision procedures, can formulate a supervision order, is aware of the benefits of supervision as a tool for preventing burnout syndrome 9. knows and can practically use the basic elements of mindfulness for his/her psychological hygiene

Student performance, Dialog
Compulsory attendance at 75% of the hybrid and 100% of the face-to-face part of the course. Participants are required to use a camera and microphone for the hybrid portion of the class. Oral colloquium.
