Course content

The Master's State Final Exam consists of four parts: 1) defense of master's thesis 2) the current state of research in the field of the history of religion 3) contemporary theories of the study of religion 4) current methods of religious studies research 5) the current state of research in the field of history of the study of religion Defense of master's thesis During the defense the student demonstrates knowledge of the researched issue, ability to answer questions of reviewers and examining board members. The current state of research in the field of history of religion The student demonstrates specialized knowledge of selected religious traditions and their historical-cultural context. Contemporary theories of religion The student demonstrates knowledge of contemporary most important theories explaining religious facts. Contemporary methods of religious research The student demonstrates knowledge of current methods in the research of religions, especially sociological, anthropological and cognitive. The current state of research in the field of the history of the study of religion The student demonstrates knowledge of current research in the field of history of the study of religion.
