Course content
1. Traditional educational theories (behaviourism, humanism, cognitivism, social cognitive orientation, constructivism). Possibilities of their application to adult education. 2. Andragogy - basic terms, concepts, definitions, modalities. 3. The nature of andragogy. 4. Historical development of andragogy in the world with emphasis on the 20th and 21st centuries. 5. Development of andragogy in the Czech lands. 6. Integral andragogy V. Jochmann - definition of terms, concepts and field of action, ideological sources. 7. The subject of andragogy - definitions and details of individual definitions. 8. Andragog - roles, functions, approaches, characteristics. 9. Approaches to the object in andragogy. 10. Andragogy in the concept of M. Knowles (informal adult education, the concept of andragogy, self-directed learning, critique). 11. Adult education in the concept of P. Jarvis (humanistic concept, learning, types of learning, approaches to the object, critique). 12. Transformative learning (approaches to transformative learning, person-centered approaches, sociocultural approaches, Mezirow, Daloz, Boyd, Freire, uses of transformative learning, critique of transformative learning. 13. critical theory in adult education, critical thinking, critical perspective (characteristics of critical theory, Brookfield, Illich, application of critical theory to adult education). 14. Culture in education (Leirman, typology, resources, possible applications to adult education). 15. Designing an educational event. Learning design vs. instructional design. 16. Curriculum - definitions, types, trends, curriculum components. 17. Educational needs analysis. Competencies. Competency models. 18. Educational objectives, taxonomy of educational action objectives. Process of didactic transformation. Educational content and its transformation into learning. Means of andragogical intervention/intervention. 19. Methods of adult education (classification, possibilities of use, specification, methods aimed at the transmission of information, methods aimed at the facilitation of learning, stages of the learning process). Means of andragogical interaction/intervention. 20. Evaluation and assessment in adult education (approaches, principles, methods).
