Learning outcomes
|
The course in its ideal shape should help the students to structure counselling process as a special form of interpersonal interaction in helping professions. It tends to discover individual regularities of the counselling process which are the prerequisites of planned intentional interventions in the desired direction. The barriers of communication will be described, also the possible ways to eliminate them. The necessary conditions to create effective counselling relationship between the helping professional and the client will be also described. The lessons include not only lectures but also training and following discussion.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work
Active participation in the seminar. Obligatory participation 75 % at minimum. Student is obliged to work out a task of at least three normal pages. The paper will be also a presentation in the seminar. The student must write a case study connected to a personal experience with a communication partner and the problematic situation. The case study will focus on the context of emergence and duration (and ending if ended) of the problematic situation.
