Course content
|
1. Introduction into the theory of social psychological interaction training. Group dynamics phenomenon, options and limits of the work with a group and in a group; history and presence of social psychological trainings in the CR; the role of the trainer in the social psychological training, trainer as a facilitator and trainer of the group processes. 2. Introduction into the practice of social psychological training. Building a group; first phase of the social psychological training; basic rules of the group work, making the space safe; identification of the expectations and fears. 3. Techniques of the social psychological training based on introduction. Verbal and nonverbal techniques based on introducing and meeting. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Wall paper, The place on my right is free; Memory for the names; Name and move; Contacting; Experience exchange; Introducing partner; Picture and interview etc. 4. Techniques of the social psychological training based on learning about the others. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Drawing self-presentation and identification based on a picture; Selecting pictures; Assessing a person according to single one speech. 5. Testing social intuition. Individual and group techniques. Verbal and nonverbal techniques. Projective techniques. 6. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the group processes facilitation. Working with a drawing. Dyadic techniques. 7. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the support of cooperation and team cooperation. Group techniques. Verbal and nonverbal techniques. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Understanding game; Atoms (molecules); Blinking; John, where are you? Novak family; Ebb and flow; Racket; Walk; Human machine; Photo-Lotto; Building a town; Building a tower I. and II.; Reporters etc. 8. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the self-getting to know and self-evaluation. Verbal and nonverbal techniques. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Letter game; Who am I? Who am I thing of? Settling; Contacting; Castle. 9. Giving and accepting feed-back. Gaining feed-backs from the other group members and group reflection of presented self-concepts. 10. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the development of the verbal communicative skills. Cultivating the skills of active listening. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Silent mail; Whispering; Controlled interview etc. 11. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the development of the non-verbal communicative skills. Following interaction games are the most frequent in this phase (particular techniques are selected according to the groups´ structure and dynamics and to broader context): Chain; Pantomimic; Deaf and mutes; Silence etc. 12. Techniques of the social psychological training focusing on the development of empathy. Person centred approach in social work. Empathic interview training.

Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on the acquisition, development and cultivation of basic personal and professional competences leading to better orientation in helping the process. Attention will be paid to the development of communication skills, empathic abilities, reflection and self-reflection.
Student: - has learnt the basic phases of the group work in the social psychological training context; - has basic knowledge about the group dynamics in the social psychological training context; - has knowledge about the basic techniques of the social psychological training. Student: - can suggest appropriate techniques of the social psychological training in regard of individual phase of the group development in the social psychological training context. The target of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills which they can use in diagnostic and therapeutic phase of the social work with an individual and when they prepare and realize activities in the group social work.

Seminar Work
This discipline is closed with a credit which is conditioned with active attendance and at least 80% attendance in seminars.
