Learning outcomes
|
The course makes students familiar with the basic theories of changes of modernity. It pays attention to the complexity of processes in this period of a social development and through an interpretation of the relevant authors stresses differences in undestanding of these processes.
Students understand the processes which are in progress in modern societies. They are able to identify their sources, course, effects and also actors of changes taking place in contemporary societies.

Prerequisites
|
The prerequisite of the course is a basic knowledge of sociological theories.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Oral exam
Student has to pass an oral examination. Prerequisite of the success in examination is reading and understanding of ideas of the authors mentioned in the Content of the course.
