Course content
|
- Agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship. This topic introduces students to the conclusion and formalities of agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship, agreement on work activity and agreement on work performance. - Working hours and rest periods. Students will be introduced to the legal length of working time, the distribution of working time and the legal regulation of overtime. The next part will deal with breaks at work, holidays and obstacles to work. - Remuneration for work. The subject is the current legal regulation of remuneration in the wage and salary sphere and the reimbursement of expenses provided to employees in connection with the performance of work. - Care of employees. The legislation on employee care comprises three main areas, namely care for the working conditions of employees, care for the professional development of employees and employee meals. - Liability relations in labour law. The topic will introduce students to the characteristics of employment liability and the different types of employment liability, including unjust enrichment. - Health and safety at work. - The current legislation on occupational safety and health contained in the Labour Code.

Learning outcomes
|
Labour law mainly regulates the relations arising between employees and employers. The content of the follow-up course Labour Law in Human Resource Management will be teaching individual labour law, focusing on working hours and rest periods, wages (salary) and their compensation, care of employees, working conditions, agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship and compensation for property and non-property damage. In addition to individual labour relations, the lectures will also include teaching collective labour law and employment law issues. Emphasis is placed on students' practical skills in the field of personnel work.
Students will be familiar with the basic concepts and institutes of labour law. The student knows the current legal regulation of labour relations and other relations arising in the exercise of the right to work. The student is able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in model examples. The student is able to interpret and apply legal regulations of labour law. The student completing this course will acquire basic knowledge in the field of labour law, with a focus on individual labour law. The student will thus be able to apply the theoretical knowledge of the legal regulations in this area to concrete cases. The student will be able to draw up simple employment law documents, in particular employment contracts, agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship and simple internal regulations of the employer.

Students taking this course will gain knowledge of employment law, with a focus on individual employment law. Students will be able to practically apply the theoretical knowledge of the legal regulation in this area to concrete cases.
