Course content
Course topics: 1. Theory of managerial decision making 2. Identification and formulation of DP (DP - decision problem), situational analysis, decomposition of DP 3. Methods of finding the causes of DP 4. Multi-criteria decision-making - determination of criteria and their significance 5. Multi-criteria decision-making - proposals for RP solution options 6. Multi-criteria decision making - determining the consequences of implementing RP options 7. Multi-criteria decision-making - methods of selecting RP solution options 8. Implementation of the selected variant - planning and implementation of processes 9. Group decision making 10. Psychological limits of decision making 11. Cultural aspects of decision making 12. Ethics in managerial decision making

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on managerial decision-making in the current economic, social, and technological conditions. The course contains the theory and practice of managerial decision-making and selected methods of decision-making. In addition to individual decision-making, group decision-making, including its risks, will be discussed. The manifestations and effects of psychological limits in managerial decision-making are also presented within the course. Cultural aspects of decision-making are addressed in regard to the globalization of the business environment. Ethical aspects of managerial decision-making are discussed not only as a separate topic but also in all other parts of the course.
The graduates can identify decision problems, and their causes, and make decisions about their solutions.
