The aim of the lectures focused on the issues of general history is to acquaint students with the most important facts and processes in the world in the twentieth century, show the way, ways and means to explore the history of that period. The center of gravity lies in the interpretation of the world's major problems, primarily political and economic. Detail follows the development of international relations, power, and individual areas of political, military and economic groupings. The same applies to the process of decolonization and development of the newly established state units set in a general context. The aim is also essential characteristic of the fundamental ideas and cultural currents of the 20th century.
