Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the economic part of the course is to clarify basic economic concepts and mechanisms (including the basics of microeconomics and macroeconomics, the knowledge of which is necessary for a deeper study of separate economic areas and topics). The aim of the managerial part of the course is to introduce students to the issues of general management with emphasis on the procedural approach to management and individual managerial functions and skills. After completing the course, the student will be able to: - define basic concepts and relationships in economics; orient yourself in basic economic terms such as supply, demand, market equilibrium, inflation, unemployment, public budget and the state's monetary policy , - characterize the basic terms of management (management, regulation, system, organization) and state the differences between the concepts of manager, leader, management of organizations and management of people, clarify the importance of sharing the vision of a managed organization, -present and suggest the use of theory in practice and specify the development and current trends of the management theory of organizations and institutions.

Assessment methods and criteria

The exam is comprehensive, written and it will be focused on two sub-areas, verified in worksheets. The final mark reflects knowledge of two topics selected from the two area.
