Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to inform about the basics of Islam. The course focuses on the emergence of Islam, Muhammad, his importance and role, pillars of faith, the Shari'a, Qur'an and Sunnah, orthopraxis, the forms and directions of Islam and forms of Islam in contemporary Europe, USA and Islamic countries. The course concludes a description of contemporary Islam in the Czech Republic and the concept of so-called global Islam.
