The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the conditions of international migration in selected macro-regions and countries of the world. The following macro-regions are studied in particular: Europe, North America; Asia; Africa.
After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to define the basic terminology associated with international migrations, will be able to interpret approaches to the study of migration and migration policy, and will have sufficient awareness of the basic and current types of migration, including how they are affected by advancing processes of transnationalization and globalization.
