Course content
Learn about the university studies character; accept the appropriate quality of work. Demands of the disciplines, partial credit theses, character of the partial attestations, demanded quality of work. 2. Master the ability to work with expert information. Expert text characteristics, searching appropriate expert texts, working with expert texts. 3. Master the ability to work with information sources, electronic information sources. Possible ways of working with information sources at UP, free EIZ, author act and licences. 4. Learn how to work out various types of theses (esp. abstract, resume, review, and essay). Individual theses´ characteristics, defining the demand on the theses, setting the differences and similarities, examples. 5. Master the norms and rules of using the bibliographical quotations when working on an expert text. The essence of using norms valid for bibliographical quotations, the character of the norm, using the norm, examples. 6. Show the ability to create the right bibliographical quotations apparatus. Examples, practising, questions. 7. Learn to use perfectly especially the norm ČSN ISO 690 (recommended by KSA). Character of the norm for individual sources, practical examples, detailed analysis. 8. Learn the procedure of choosing the final thesis topic, connecting theory and practice. Demands of the department set on the bachelor thesis topic, procedure of choosing the topic, discussion. 9. Learn the context of the final thesis, connected formal demands. Working procedure, tips and tricks, discussion. 10. Help to get oriented in a new milieu. University as a new study experience, running consultations of particular problems connected with fulfilling partial study demands. 11. EDIS E-learning study support, working out correspondence tasks via e-learning. 12. Discussion. Discussion and detailed analysis of the topics according to the interests and needs of students (real final thesis, real example of how to work with an expert text).

Learning outcomes
The discipline is of propaedeutic character; its goal is to make the students familiar with the range of literature and other texts concerning the crucial issues of adult education and other subjects dealing with education and social sciences; including ways of citing bibliographic references and quotations according to valid norms.
- Student knows individual kinds of texts written at university, can distinguish the differences, similarities and connections between them. - Student knows the principles of organization culture for working out the theses. - Student can name main types of the bibliographic quotation norms, knows their features. - Student can define basic demands for choosing the bachelor theses topic. - Student can explain the differences between individual types of texts written at university, can work them out according to set demands. - Student masters the principles of organization culture and uses them appropriately. - Student can explain the bibliographic quotation norms, can use them appropriately and find appropriate form of quotation in the text. - Student is able to work out independently university theses with appropriate formal form and quotation apparatus. Can find expert sources; use them appropriately for a chosen topic.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

This discipline is concluded with a credit. It is necessary to hand in two correspondence tasks (resume and review) to gain the credit. It is also necessary to hand them in one week before the running or the final tutorial.
