The course introduces the issue of violence in close relationships affecting the life of a family that is a client of social work. Domestic violence in any form has a devastating effect on the saturation of the need for security and a meaningful world, which are among the basic psychological needs of people of all ages. The shattering of life's certainties then has a particularly negative impact on a child's healthy psychological, emotional and moral development. This course offers the necessary information and tools to recognize the signs of violence in close relationships and how to work in the role of a social worker with individual actors of violence in close relationships.
