The course introduces the development of the concept of integration at the social and system level. It represents its formation within the social sciences on the example of integration of migrants. The course systematically deals with what happens in the last phase of migration, ie at the moment of settling, and what processes (integration / exclusion) and phenomena accompany this inclusion. The concept of immigrant integration was formed under the strong influence of assimilationism, on the basis of which the four stages of conceptualization can be identified.
