Course content |
In the linguistics, the emphasis is put on the mastery of all the levels of the current language, on various aspects of text linguistics and the theoretical and practical mastery of all the styles of written language. Attention is paid to the historical development and the formation of Spanish language standard(s) including the question of its variation across the Spanish-speaking countries. During the studies, students may spend one semester at one of the eight Spanish universities cooperating with the Department of Romance Philology within Erasmus Programme.

Learning outcomes |
The study of Spanish philology is realized in parallel in the fields of linguistics and literature. During the studies, students enhance their knowledge of practical language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
As highly qualified Hispanists, graduates of the master study programme should be familiar with research methods in the field of linguistics and literature. They should also perfectly master the Spanish language in all its forms. |

The condition of passing the final state examination (language section), which is oral, is to demonstrate knowledge of linguistic areas to the extent of compulsory subject matter presented during the M.A. study. |
