Course content

This course is designed to support the student's integration into the scholarly community, the establishment of scholarly contacts relevant to their dissertation project, and familiarization with the current state of research in the given field. It also focuses on the ability to participate in scholarly discussions and, importantly, on the capacity to synthesize conference presentations by others and publish this synthesis as a report in a specialized academic journal. Before attending a conference, the student must consult with their supervisor or the guarantor regarding the suitability and categorization of the specific conference, as well as the content of the report and an appropriate publication venue. The guarantor determines the conference category by evaluating the supervisor's proposal and verifying the nature of the conference, taking into account discipline practice and the event's prestige.
