Course content
This course focuses on the ability to present research results to the scientific community through a conference presentation (or poster). Before attending a conference, the student must consult with their supervisor - or the guarantor - regarding both the content of the presentation and the suitability and category of the specific conference. It is expected that the student will primarily present preliminary results from their doctoral research; thus, earning these credits contributes to the ongoing preparation of the dissertation. However, presentations on other topics may also be accepted, provided they are relevant to the student's doctoral field of study. The guarantor will categorize the presentation based on an assessment of the supervisor's proposal and an evaluation of the conference itself, taking into account disciplinary norms and the conference's prestige. In the case of co-authored work, the student's specific contribution is taken into account. Literature: ČMEJRKOVÁ, Světla, František DANEŠ a Jindra SVĚTLÁ: Jak napsat odborný text. Praha: Leda, 1999.
