Course content
|
Demonstration of knowledge of all linguistic subjects forming the theoretical foundation of the study programme, namely Dialectology, the Development of the Portuguese Language, Stylistics, and Prescriptive Grammar. The student draws two questions from the list of topics for the State Final Examination. The examination also includes a linguistic analysis of a text. In addition, students following independent study program will discuss a linguistic topic of their choice, selected according to their interests and based on the compulsory or optional courses completed during their studies. The topic will be discussed in advance with the relevant teacher, and at the examination the student will submit a list of the literature studied on the topic.

Learning outcomes
|
Demonstration of knowledge of all linguistic subjects forming the theoretical foundation of the programme, namely Dialectology, the Development of the Portuguese Language, Stylistics, and Prescriptive Grammar.
The student demonstrates an active command of Portuguese at C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as well as a sound knowledge of the fields that form part of the language component of the State Final Examination.
