Learning outcomes
|
A series of selected films aimed at developing students' ability to understand native speakers and broadening their knowledge of the history, society, and culture of Lusophone countries, with a particular focus on Angola and Mozambique. Each film is preceded by an introductory presentation and followed by a discussion based on prior reading of reviews of the selected film and relevant scholarly texts.
Students deepen their cultural knowledge in the field of the life and institutions of the Portuguese speaking countries and improve their ability to understand native speakers.

Prerequisites
|
The course is taught in Portuguese. Students are expected to be able to understand extended discourse in Portuguese.
