Course content
Grammar: 1. The rules of Italian pronunciation, Italian alphabet. 2. Personal pronouns, verbs essere, stare and avere; negation; polite form; articles and their use in the singular; case relations. 3. Verbs andare and venire; articles and their use in the plural. 4. Verbs from the 1st to 3rd conjugation; c´e´,ci sono; adjective bello e buono in position before the noun; elision, apokope. 5. Prepositions - preposizioni articolate. 6. Reflexive verbs, cardnal and ordinal numerals, saying time and other time expressions. Conversation topics and developing communicative skills in Italian: 1. Greetings, basic phrases in the introduction, requests, acknowledgments, apologies. 2. Asking personal data - anamnesis. 3. Names of specialized medical and nonmedical disciplines. 4. Names of medical equipment and specialized departments. 5. Basic anatomical terminology.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to master the basics of Italian medical terminology, attention is paid to the Italian grammar at level A1, to the practical application of the knowledge in given situations in a medical environment, the emphasis is on developing the ability of speech.
Students will gain knowledge of Italian grammar at A1 level, will master the terminology necessary for personal presentation and for obtain personal data in the determination of basic medical anamnesis, will be familiar with basic anatomical terminology and with the names of specialized medical and non-medical disciplines and health facilities and specialized departments and investigative methods.
Prerequisites
A good knowledge of Italian language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in seminars, preparation for the lessons, basic knowledge of Czech medical terminology, verification of knowledge in the final credit test.
