1. Sentences with marked word order: syntactic, textual and pragmatic aspects (right and left dislocation, presentative constructions, cleft sentences, hanging topic) 2. "Italiano dell'uso medio" or "Italiano neo-standard" (its place within the varieties of the Italian language, its evolution, and its characteristic features) 3. Colloquial Italian (its place within the varieties of the Italian language, its evolution, and its characteristic features)

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with selected topics in the field of contemporary Italian, as well as with the views of renowned Italian linguists and foreign Italianists, thereby deepening their knowledge of the Italian linguistic system.
A better understanding of selected linguistic phenomena, the ability to critically evaluate them, and to compare them with L1.
