Course content
|
The course content is selected based on the students' level and their course of study, and addresses both linguistic and more broadly cultural issues related to Italian history, the history of the language, and sociocultural aspects. The materials therefore vary from semester to semester, depending on the objectives of the course. Should the course be offered, these materials will be uploaded to Moodle well in advance.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to consolidate students' foundational knowledge through a series of lectures focused on clearly defined topics and issues, treated in depth. The course content is selected from a range of authentic materials of various kinds (including literary, cinematic, etc.).
Development of hermeneutic competences, inclination towards in-depth analysis, sense of complexity. The selection of materials, and above all their treatment, encourages analysis and the development of interpretative skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Dialog, Written exam
Active participation in classes (maximum of three absences), regular preparation for each session.
