Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to broaden knowledge of Italian language through an analysis of authentic texts that come from various sources and contexts. The subject of these studies and analysis will be texts of various kinds: critical texts, reviews, newspaper articles, webpage content and social media content. In each text, there will be highlights of most important contextual and formal aspects, of the characteristics of the language used, its vocabulary and its syntactic structure.
By passing this class, the student acquires more consistent knowledge of current Italian, which, unfortunately, is not too close to the Italian of language textbooks. Contact and development of language competences of the student also enables the student to understand Italian in real situations. The student is thus truly immersed into actual Italian usage, current and live, which will strengthen their interest for the language in all of its facets.
