Course content
An overview of specific features of Italian vocabulary and its structure. Main topics: nucleus and variable part of the vocabulary, loanwords, the main ways of enriching the Italian vocabulary, lexical morphology, semantic fields, synonymy, antonyms, connotation, denotation, basics of the lexicography etc. The seminar is focused on the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

  • Homework for Teaching - 25 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to become familiar with the specific features of the Italian vocabulary.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of the structure and evolution of the Italian vocabulary that enables them to improve their communicative skills.

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Active participation in seminars, preparation for every lesson. Passing the exam.
