Course content
|
LS 2021/22 On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Pasolini, the course will examine the first works of his career as film director: Accattone (1961), Mamma Roma (1962) and The Gospel according to Matthew (1964). Every film will be studied from various hermeneutic perspectives. Particular emphasis will be given to the film production and to the figurative, stylistic and conceptual components of Pasolini's poetic.

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge of film language and its rhetorical and expressive value. Basic orientation in Italian cinematography.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of the history of Italian cinema. Masterpieces of italian film history will be studied that student will be able to analyze.

Oral exam, Student performance
- Active participation in class - Paper on the topic - Knowledge od films' content, structure, stylistic and ideological aspects. Course will be taught in italian.
