Course content
|
Methods of Phonetics. Phonetics and Phonology. Basic phonological terms and concepts (phoneme, phonological oppositions, distinctive features). Classification of vowels and consonants. Classes of syllables in Italian. Suprasegmental elements: accent, intonation etc. The course is supplemented with orthoepic and orthographic practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to make the students acquainted with the basic terminology of Phonetics and Phonology and its application to the Italian phonological system. The course is supplemented with orthoepic and orthographic practice.
Basic knowlidge of Phonetics and Phonology, comparison of the Czech and Italian phonetic system.
