Course content
Grammar: 1. Possessive pronouns, cardinal numbers - completion; ordinal numbers (1-10), the verb Venire. 2. Pronoun Tutto; interrogative pronouns Quale, Che, Come, verb Bere. 3. Negation - continue; modal verbs Dovere, Volere; verb Sapere; basic prepositions, their use with toponyms; accented personal pronouns; gi? / non pi?; diminutives; using verbs Venire / Andare / Arrivare; "si passivante". 4. Reflexive verbs; unaccented personal pronouns; adverbs; prefix ri-. 5. Past participle; passato prossimo; superlativo assoluto; date. Conversation topics and developing communicative skills in Italian: 1. Providing basic information about oneself; phenomenon "mammone". 2. Italian family; advertising. 3. The house and its furnishings. 4. Day programme; confrontation between Italian and Czech lifestyles. 5. Vacations and holidays; calling; making an appointment.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to master the Italian grammar and vocabulary in a given range. Attention is paid to the practical application of this knowledge through language exercises, developing the communication skills.
Students will improve their ability to communicate in Italian language in ordinary everyday situations and will acquire the ability to express themselves in everyday writing.
