This course will cover the following topics: Creole and francophone culture in the Antilles Separatism in the French overseas territories Anglophony and francophony in the isle of Mauritius

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of this course is to make the students familiar with the history and culture of the selected francophone countries. The emphasis is put mainly on the most recent events.
to understand the history and culture of the selected francophone countries outside Europe to become familiar with the culture of the selected non-European francophone countries to develop the ability to work with texts from the individual francophone countries

Student performance
regular attendance and active participation in the lectures and seminars preparation for the classes a presentation The credit test will test the understanding of the basic issues of the history and culture of francophone countries.
