Course content

Pronunciation of French semi-consonants. Exercises. Occlusives. Exercises. Constrictives + graphical h. Exercises. Connecting the sounds into larger wholes. Syllabic division. Assimilation of consonants. Vocalic harmony. Exercises. Liaison. Exercises. Rhythm. Exercises. Rhythmic group. Exercises. Intonation. Exercises.

Learning outcomes
Synchronic description of the French pronunciation. Practical mastery of orthoepic rules, practical training of individual sounds and suprasegmental features. Theoretical description and understanding of the principles of the trained phenomena.
The student acquires knowledge and skills within the following scope, able to demonstrate them upon the completion of the course. - practical mastery of orthoepic standard of the French language, - ability to describe the studied phenomena, - correct description and explanation of their principles
