Course content
The main contents of the seminar is the training of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation to and from French. The interpreted material is from authentic recordings of native speakers, fragments from TV and radio programmes or movies. The emphasis is put on the thematic variability of the interpreted texts and on variable conditions during interpretation. Modern audio-visual equipment is used during the training. The course is complemented by memory, language, discourse and cognitive exercises.The attention is paid to the culture of spoken language and the performance.

Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Projection (static, dynamic), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

  • Homework for Teaching - 50 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to make the students familiar with the basic theory of interpretation and, above all, a multilateral preparation for the practice of interpretation.
-knowledge of the basic principles of interpretation, -the ability to find a solution to the common situations in interpretation

The conditions for a successful completion of this course are active participation and fulfillment of all the requirements set by the teacher.
