Course content
Selected topics: Stylistic analysis of text Cohesion and coherence Functional styles in French Functional sentence perspective in Czech and adequate means of expression in French Colloquial and formal language

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basics of French linguistic stylistics with regard to practical use in the field of translation, text editing, etc. The topics covered in the lectures are illustrated with practical examples from texts and actively practiced.
After completing the course, students will be able to: - perform stylistic analysis of a text - characterize basic functional styles - distinguish between colloquial and formal styles in the perception and production of text - identify elements of cohesion and coherence in text and actively work with them in the stylistic construction of the target text - produce texts with regard to the required functional style

Written exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Systematic Observation of Student

Regular attendance, responsible homework preparation, active participation, final written exam. Fulfilment of all requirements set by the teacher.
