Course content
1. Introduction and verification of the knowledge of vocabulary, defininition of the basic concepts of macroeconomics and microeconomics 2. Verification of presentation skills. 3. Relations between economic entities 4. Households and consumption 5. Enterprises and production 6. Market, demand, supply 7. The state and its intervention in the economy 8. Economic growth 9. Unemployment, inflation 10. Currency and banking institutions 11. Significant economic directions

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to demonstrate that a company belongs to a large complex of economic relations that must be interpreted correctly so that the company can duly plan its activities. Hence,it is necessary to comprehend the behaviour and acting of the participants in the economic processes: companies, state administration, financial institutions and households. Students therefore build active vocabulary both in written and spoken language from macroeconomics and micro economics.
In the course, the students will learn the basic knowledge and skills in the following scope and they will be able to demonstrate them in the exam: The students are able to understand the vocabulary from the field of economics and they are able to use it correctly in speech and writing.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance

E-learning work by means of the Moodle interface. Recording new vocabulary, responding to discussions, fulfillment of the tasks assigned in Moodle, downloading of the mandatory readings. The course is completed by a test of vocabulary and an essay.
