National/ethnic structure of the modern French society and its consequences 3. Manifestation of multiculturalism in normal life, its negative impact 4. The reflection of multiculturalism in fine arts 5. Popular culture and pop-art as an expression of multiculturalism 6. Themes and elements of multiculturalism in fiction 7. French language authors of non-French origin 8. Elements of multiculturalism in the works of French authors

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of this course is to familiarise the student with the current multicultural French society and its reflection in arts, mainly in literature.
- understand the rules of coexistance of different cultures in the French context, on the social background - perfection of the ability to interpret a text - development of the ability to argue about interdisciplinary matters
