Course content
The students get acquainted with administrative organization, geography, economic situation, history, important personalities and cultural and linguistic peculiarities of France. The classwork includes the use of visual and audio material, analysis of texts or other documents and the students have presentations on chosen topics.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Projection (static, dynamic)
  • Attendace - 25 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 12 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 63 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The objective of this seminar is to make the students familiar with the French culture and civilization. The attention is paid to the culture of hexagonal France. The covered topics are: system of French state administration and administrative organization of the country, geography of France, crucial historical and current events; special attention is paid to the different fields of French culture, the important personalities and national or local peculiarities.
The acquired competences correspond with the specified objectives of the course. - general knowledge of French culture - the ability to learn on the basis of an analysis of text or audiovisual documents - development of the ability to discuss and to give a speech

Oral exam, Written exam, Systematic Observation of Student

The conditions for a successful completion of this course are active participation and fulfillment of all the requirements set by the teacher.
