Learning outcomes
|
The course is focused on the selected issues of the mutual interference between Czech and French vocabulary. The attention will be mainly paid to the question of so-called faux-amis (false friends) of differend kinds and to the influence of French on the vocabulary of Czech language and its varieties, particularly in the unconventional word stock (slang, argot, professional language, dialect, etc.)
1/ knowledge of the problematic issues related to interference 2/ ability to avoid the usual mistakes 3/ competence to make a quality translation from French to Czech
