Course content
In the first decades of the 16th century were changes in the molds, unlike the previous two centuries, and in the tract as in the dialogue develop new expression instance. Although it is difficult to determine the main component of every work that will be mentioned, we can say that the governor stands swift heroic speeches, while Debates, Courtier History and Italy bind its innovative reflection. In Asolani can then be traced to the period formalization model prose of Boccaccio. Some of the tracts we find more metatextual, except for the introduction and description of content can observe them in the following elements: topoi usual modesty and impropriety courtier tribute to those who dedicated the treatise, comparisons (e.g. reader traveler as "works as a ship that departs from a port"), general reflections on human nature, motivation, relevance and usefulness of the work, and, more broadly, about the importance and usefulness of the font.

Learning outcomes

These lectures were first to provide information about the origin, composition and writing of these works, the study will focus on textuality and syntax of this period. Typifies some lines of research, which are not only beneficial for a better understanding of the text, but also their location in the history of literary language.
