Course content
The course will deal with the following problems: 1. Importance of the dialogue in Italian literature of Humanism. 2. Dialogue as a means of mimesis in Dante. 3. Dialogue in love poetry of 14th century. 4. Dialogue in comic and realistic poetry of 14th century. 5. Dialogue in didactical vernacular literature. 6. Dialogue in medieval novel. 7. Presentation and debate of the research results. The course is supported by the project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0179 Diverzifikace a systematizace postgraduálního studia na FF UP Olomouc.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deal with the dialogue as a literary genre in the medieval Italy. A small research team will be created which will study various aspects of this minority genre. While the course KRF/92AD1 deals with the literature of 13th century, this course is focused mainly to the literature of 14th century.

Prerequisites
Good knowledge of Italian or medieval literature.

Student performance

Attendance at the introductory meeting; individual research; presentation of the results in oral and written form.
