Course content
|
The course summarizes selected findings from various areas of psychology relating interpersonal communication. It focuses on those areas that are specific to policy and have practical uses for students. The course will focus on topics of cognitive psychology such as attention, memory, imagination or thinking and their influence on interpersonal communication and dialogue. It will also focus on topics of social psychology related to interpersonal communication and speaking in front of the audience, such as conformity and obedience, assertiveness, manipulation, attitudes and their change, group processes and their influence on communication, verbal and nonverbal vommunication. The course will also focus on personality disorders that may occur in the political environment and the specifics in communication that these disorders bring. Transaction analysis and ways how use it to more effective communication between people will also be briefly presented.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to improve students' communication skills, to acquire knowledge and habits in the field of interpersonal communication needed for political science or political practice and for life.
