This course follows three most essential phenomena that had formed the modern world: nation, state, and revolution. All three categories are studied separately as well as in their mutual interactions as they were very frequent and interdependent. Main aspects of nation and nationalism, state, and revolution will be analysed with selected examples. Most of the course manoeuvre in within modern epoch, starting in late 18th century and ending in the turn of 20th and 21st centuries. However compulsory literature covers more extended time period.
