Learning outcomes
The course focuses on musicology, its system, disciplines (history, trends, figures, and important texts) and aesthetical categories.
Acquired knowledge: After the completion of the course, the student: - understands the extent of the subject of the discipline of musicology - knows the system of the discipline, the subject and methods of individual disciplines of music science - has an overview of essential literature about the individual areas of music science Acquired skills: The student is able to find a reliable source of information for the problems of fractional disciplines of music science. Acquired qualifications: The student: - orientates themselves in the individual areas of music science, and in its development as well as modern trends, - is able to use their knowledge in other musical-theoretical, historical as well as systematic courses of the study plan of the Department of Musicology.
