Learning outcomes
The Ear Training course is a part of the group of compositional disciplines. Attention will be paid to practical training of musical skills and analysis of the score. Stress is paid at the complex structures in intervalic and chords issues and ear comprehensing of typical chord progressions within functional harmony.
Acquired knowledge: The student identifies concrete melodies, intervals, scales, and chords with the use of the relative hearing. The student identifies the most common chord connections or harmonic functions with the use of hearing. Acquired skills: The student uses analytical hearing when listening to music. Acquired qualifications: The student analyses played music, and identify concrete phenomena and formations in it with the use of their hearing. The student transcribes short melodies and common chord connections.
