Course content
1. Heraldry - the Study of Symbols and Emblem Signs, the Development of the Discipline. 2. Heraldic Figures. 3. Description of Emblem Signs, Their Placement. 4. Sigillography - the Study of Seals and Seal Matrices, the Development of the Discipline. 5. Seals and Seal Matrices, Sealing Substances, the Way of Placement of Seals. 6. Genealogy - the Study of Ancestral Relations, the Development of the Discipline. 7. Ancestral Relations, Sources of Genealogy. 8. Numismatics - the Study of Currency, the Development of the Discipline. 9. The Development of Currency and of Currency Systems. 10. Currency Situation in Czech lands in the 20th Century. 11. Historical Metrology - the Study of Systems of Measurements, the Development of the Discipline. 12. Units of Measurement, Systems, Unit Conversions.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
Orientation in all basic disciplines auxiliary historical sciences, knowledge of the issues and the development of heraldry, sfragistics, genealogy, numismatics, metrology and their practical application in the work of musicologist.
Acquired knowledge: The student knows basic facts about genealogy, sigillography, heraldry, metrology, and numismatics. Acquired skills: The student - is able to work with archive material, - can choose a right approach and - carry out criticism of sources. Acquired qualifications: The student is able to: - describe an emblem, seal, family tree, - classify units of measurement and currency systems.
