Course content
The course relates to the lecture and seminar 20th-Century Music. It focuses on the listening to and interpreting of the most important compositions of this period: G. Mahler: The Song of the Earth I. Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring A. Schönberg: String Quartet No. 2 op. 10, Transfigured Night op. 4, String Quartet no 0 in d major, Erwartung, Pierrot lunaire op. 21, Klavier Stücke op. 11, Moses and Aaron A. Learning outcomes
The course extends the listening experience with the music of the first half of the 20th century.
Students will gain the listening competence of the music of the first half of the 20th Century. They will be able to actively use their gained knowledge in their musical and dramaturgical activities.
Prerequisites
The course relates to 20th-Century Music 1 lecture.
