Learning outcomes |
The lectures traces the development of music in Czech lands from the first known records till present. The differences between conceptions music in Bohemia, czech music, music of czech authors are explained.
Student will gain an overview of the evolution of a musical life in the Czech lands as well as of problems related to concepts of the history of Czech music. Survey of not well known and historically uncovered periods of our music history is also included. |
Prerequisites |
Students are expected to have knowledge of the history of European music to be able to compare the development in the Czech lands with other countries.
