Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the course is to familiarize participants with approaches focused on using music to enhance quality of life and manage mental or physical health issues, as well as with the topics of mental hygiene and mental preparation for performing artists. The course will draw on both scientifically grounded insights from everyday life and professional therapeutic practices.
Students will gain an understanding of the demands placed on professional performers and acquire the basic knowledge needed to meet those demands. Students will also learn about the importance of music in regulating emotions in everyday life, as well as its therapeutic potential in medical and psychiatric contexts.

|
Mark, Student performance
Sufficient, active participation in class (max. 2 absences), a presentation based on a scholarly article (from published empirical research), and a solid understanding of the subject matter.
