Course content
1) Basic terminology, four-voices editing, fifth chords in major and minor scale, an affinity of chords, cadenza 3) Main and the others chords in major and minor scale 4) Sixth chords, fourth-sixth chords 5) Main and the other seventh chords 6) Ninth chords, their application 7) Melodic tones - classification, application 8) Modulation - types, diatonic modulation 9) Chromatic level - non-tonal chords, mediants, frygian and lydian chords 10) Alteration and those chords 11) Modulation chromatic and enharmonic

Learning outcomes
This course makes students acquainted with the basics of harmonic thinking in the period of classicism and romantism.
During practising each student gains an overview about harmonic aspect of a composition as well as one of the fundamental points for analyzing music.
Prerequisites
A solid orientation in the knowledges of elementary music theory and musical terminology.
