Course content
|
The course does not involve regular classroom instruction. Its specific content is determined by the supervisor of the seminar paper, taking into account the topic and disciplinary focus of the student's work. Under the supervisor's guidance, the student searches for, studies, and critically interprets relevant foreign-language scholarly literature and uses it to formulate their own scholarly conclusions. Emphasis is placed on comprehension of scholarly texts, the correct use of musicological terminology, critical evaluation of foreign-language sources, and their meaningful integration into the argumentation of the seminar paper.

Learning outcomes
|
Developing the ability to read foreign literature and apply it in the context of writing a seminar paper.
Upon completion of the course, the student is able to: - independently use foreign-language scholarly literature when addressing their own musicological research problem; - critically compare different scholarly perspectives and integrate findings from both domestic and international musicological literature; - use foreign-language scholarly sources to develop and substantiate their own arguments in a seminar paper.
