1. Methods of analysis of Gregorian chant 2. Analysis of contrapuntal techniques of the Middle Ages and Renaissance 3. Dramaturgy of time in early baroque music 4. "Figurenlehre" and its application 5. The theory of imitation and its use in music 6. Syncresis and transformation of sonata form 7. Analysis of musical topoi 8.-12. Independent analytical studies

Prerequisites
The course is intended for upper-year students (the prerequisite is completion of the course History of Early Music / Music of the 17th and 18th Centuries).
