Course content
|
The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledges of students of the ancient metrics.Practical exercises based on concrete latin poets (Catullus, Horatius, Statius etc.): 1. The metric system of Latin. 2. The realization of the matric system in the poems of Q. Horatius Flaccus.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledges of students of the ancient metrics.Practical exercises based on the poems of concrete latin poets (Catullus, Horatius, Statius etc.). The students also learn the differencies between the Czech and Latin metric systems.
A basic knowledge of latin language.

Prerequisites
|
An interest for the subject and a good knowledge of Latin: conditional subjects: Latin morphology and syntax.
